Error While Adding an Addon Domain in cPanel Account

Addon domains allow you to control multiple domains from a single account. An addon domain links a new domain name to a directory in your account, and then stores the files in that directory. In this tutorial, you will learn how to fix error that may be caused from addon domains. It’s very simple if you have server access. If you have only cPanel access, you can contact your hosting provider and ask them to add the domain as Addon.

This is a common issue while adding addons in cPanel. The error message is:

“sorry the domain is already pointed to an IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this server “.

Solution

1) Login to WHM.

2) Navigate to Home >> Server Configuration.

3) Select the icon ‘Tweak Settings’.

4) Click the button ‘Domains’.

5) Find the option ‘Allow Remote Domains’ and turn it on.
