eCommerce is a growing market. All thanks to the growth in the open-source field. Prestashop is an eCommerce store management system written in PHP. It is open-source software that allows you to set up an eCommerce store without any technical knowledge. It contains all the features you will ever need to manage an online store.
Prestashop provides an awesome interface to create, view, manage and delete products in your store. In Prestashop, you can easily search, modify and delete products with an easy to use GUI. In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to create a new product in Prestashop.
Create Product in Prestashop
To create a new product, log in to the admin panel of your store and click on the Catalog -> Products option given in the left sidebar. It will redirect you to a page containing the list of products available in your store.
On this page, you will see all the products available for sale in your store. You can search, filter, modify and delete products directly from this page. To create a new product, Click on the Add New Product button given on the top-right corner of the page.
Prestashop will show you a product creation wizard containing multiple steps. In the first section, you have to enter the name and other basic information about the product you want to add.
Fill up the information in all the sections and click on the Save button given at the bottom-right corner of the page. If you want to continue editing the product after saving, click on the Save and Stay button.
Once you have saved the product, it will start appearing in the list of available products just like the following image.
To Edit or delete a product, click on the Edit button corresponding to the product you want to update. Then, click on the appropriate option to take an action.
