AbanteCart is an open-source eCommerce store management system. It allows you to create and run your own eCommerce store very easily. It contains all the features you will ever need to run an eCommerce store. But, every application on the internet needs some rest time in which the administrators can take backups and add new functionality. So, Maintenance mode is very much important for any kind of application.

Good news if you are using AbanteCart. It provides Maintenance mode option out-of-the-box. It means that you can enable/disable maintenance mode anytime directly from the admin panel. In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to do just that in AbanteCart. You just need admin access to the panel to update settings.

Enable Maintenance Mode in AbanteCart

First of all, Log in to the admin panel of your eCommerce store. Now, find a System option in the left sidebar of the admin panel. To make this process easier, refer to the screenshots following every step.

Now, Click on the Settings options from the drop-down. It will further create a new drop-down. In the sub-drop-down menu, find System option and click on it just like the following screenshot.

It will redirect you to a page in which you can update the most important options of your AbanteCart store. In the form, find a switch with label Maintenance mode, just like the following image.
