How to Add New Currency in osCommerce

eCommerce is a business that allows you to sell products via the Internet. It is significant because internet is everywhere. Once your product is live on your eCommerce store, everyone around the world is going to check your product. If they like, they will order.

But different countries use different currencies. And If you want to sell your product in India, It is better to display prices in INR than USD. It is because people in India use Indian Rupee. So, If you are running an eCommerce store, It’s up to you to add and manage currencies in your store so that your potential customers can see the prices and pay for it in their own currency.

In this tutorial, I will show you How to add new currency in osCommerce. So, Let’s get started.

Add New Currency in osCommerce

To create a new currency in your store, click on the Localization -> Currencies option from the left sidebar of the admin panel. Follow the screenshots to visually understand the process.

On this page, you will see a list of currencies available in your osCommerce store. By default, you will have U.S. Dollar only. To create a new currency, click on the New Currency button given at the bottom-right corner of the table.

Now, Enter the currency details as per the requirements. If you want to add a commonly used currency, you can select from the drop-down menu with the “– Common Currencies –” label. If you decide to add one of the common currency, osCommerce will automatically fill up the other fields. Then you can edit them if you want.

Finally, click on the Save button given at the bottom of the form to add a new currency to your osCommerce store.
