With the improvement in the open-source field, we got software that we can use to make money for free. The most popular example is WordPress. And in eCommerce field, OpenCart and Magento. These open-source content management systems allowed programmers to develop applications or modules or extensions for these content management systems. Many of these extensions are free to use again, some of them are paid. So, people can also make money from extension development for these popular content management systems. These extensions allow us to add more functionality to our application to provide better services to our customers.
OpenCart also has a repository that contains almost all the extensions you need to manage your store. It is very easy to install an extension in an OpenCart store. In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to install modules in OpenCart. Follow the screenshots to understand the process visually.
Install Modules in OpenCart
To install a module, log in to the admin panel of your OpenCart store. Then, Click on the Extensions -> Extensions option just like the following screenshot.
On this page, you will get a list of available extensions. To install an extension, just click on the “+” button with green background corresponding to the plugin you want to install.
If you want to uninstall a specific extension, click on the “-“ button with a red background. To find a button, see the following screenshot.
