Prestashop is an open-source eCommerce platform that you can use to create an eCommerce store without technical knowledge. If you do not know what is open-source software, it is basically a software that is free to use with or without modification for commercial use. You can also modify it to support specific types of eCommerce stores and resell it to your customers.
As it is open-source, developers are allowed to create and sell themes and extensions for Prestashop. It means that you can set whatever theme you like on your store from the Prestashop Themes repository. You will find thousands of Free-to-use themes for Prestashop on the internet.
Not only themes, but you can also install additional extensions to improve the functionality of your store. However, In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to install a new theme in Prestashop. To make the process easier to understand, we have attached screenshots with every step.
Install a Theme in Prestashop
First of all, log in to the admin panel of your Prestashop store. Then, click on the Preferences -> Themes option from the left sidebar just like the following image.
On the top-right corner of the page, click on the Add New Theme button. It will redirect you to a page where you can upload the zip file of your theme.
On this page, select a zip file containing your theme and click on the Save button given in the first card. If you know the URL of the zip file of your theme, you can enter the URL and click on the Save button in the second section.
To configure your theme, Navigate to the Preferences -> Themes section of your store. It will allow you to set Logo and much more depending on the functionality of a theme.
