Install OpenCart from Softaculous

OpenCart is an open-source store management system. Using OpenCart, you can create an eCommerce store. It provides all the features you need to manage the eCommerce store. OpenCart powers hundreds of thousands of eCommerce stores on the Internet. It has an easy to use interface that allows you to manage almost every part of your store. In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to quickly install OpenCart from Softaculous.

Softaculous is a popular auto-installer that we can use to install any kind of web application on the domain name with few simple clicks. If you decide to do it manually, you have to download files, create a database, connect it with the application and create database connectivity. All these steps are covered when you decide to install OpenCart using Softaculous. Anyone can create an eCommerce store using both of these tools without any technical knowledge. So, let’s get started with the tutorial.

Install OpenCart from Softaculous

Softaculous is available with almost every web hosting package. If you are using  FastyCloud web hosting, you will get a Softaculous apps installer out of the box.

First of all, log in to the cPanel account. Then, find a section called Softaculous Apps Installer in your cPanel. In that section, you will see a list of available scripts to install, just like the following image.

From the list of applications, click on the OpenCart logo or name to install OpenCart on your domain. it will redirect you to a page that contains all the information about OpenCart in general. It also contains the install button to quickly install OpenCart, click on the install button.

Now, Enter all the required information as per your choice. In the first section, you have to select the OpenCart version you want to install, then you have to select the protocol, domain name, and directory. If you want to install OpenCart on a domain name, Empty the In Directory field.

In the second section, Enter the site name, Store description, and store Owner name. And in the last section, Enter the admin login information that you will use to log in to the admin panel of your store.

After entering all the required information in the form, click on the Install button given at the bottom of the page to start the installation.

Once the installation is complete, you will get a success message along with the URL to your store and the admin login URL. So, this is how you can install OpenCart from Softaculous.
